Balloon Pops
  • Comments
We think everyone will agree that it's hard to beat a dessert served on a stick. We always try and include some sort of bite-sized treats in our Experiences so that guests can pick up and enjoy them with ease. These Balloon Pops fit the bill, and are made with vanilla cake, American buttercream, and then coated with chocolate. And with a couple stick flags and hot air balloon printables to dress them up, the Balloon Pops are ready to soar right into someone's mouth.

Tips
For The Balloon Pops
Cake pops can be somewhat tricky, but the cake pop guru herself, Bakerella, can ease all of your cake pop worries in her book
We love our Wilton Candy Pro Melting Pot but you can always use a double boiler to melt your chocolate. In a pinch, you can take a sauce pan with about an inch or so of simmering water and place a stainless steel bowl on top. Make sure the water doesn't touch the bowl. Easy peasy
Presentation
Ideas For The Balloon Pops
We presented our Balloon Pops on a 10x5.75-inch white rectangular plate from Crate & Barrel. Also, check out another one of our favorites that we've used from Sur La Table - you can choose from many different sizes. We especially love to use these plates in our experiences as the clean and simple lines tend to complement any dessert table
To add more color to the plates, find some colorful paper, or wrapping paper, and cut it to the size of the plate you use for your desserts. We chose a blue cloud paper to keep with our theme
A simple printable dessert label can go a long way to completing the presentation. We offer free printable dessert labels, along with the rest of the Soar Experience Printables, that you can download here. We recommend using cover weight paper which you can find at Paper-Source. We usually use pure white, but feel free to choose a color that works for you
