Bacon makes everything taste better. But candied bacon makes desserts tastes just that much more amazing with that salty/sweet combination. Candied bacon is so versatile: you can use it as a filling component in a cake, as a topping for a cupcake or mousse. You can bake candied bacon right into a batter, eat it with your breakfast meal, eat it as a snack, ok, we're getting a little carried away. All you need to know is that if you like bacon, you really can't go wrong with however you decide to incorporate your candied bacon.

Before You Get Started Making Candied Bacon


Measure/Weigh all of the ingredients
Preheat oven to 350 degress (F)
Prepare a baking sheet by covering it with aluminum foil
Place a wire rack onto the baking sheet

Candied Bacon Ingredients & Amounts


6 slices of bacon
1/4 cup (56g) light brown sugar
1/8 tsp (dash) of cinnamon

Candied Bacon Step-By Step Directions

Candied Bacon Before Cooking

1) Preheat oven to 350 (F).

2) Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.

3) Rub each side of the bacon with the brown sugar mixture and place the bacon slices on the wire rack.

4) Bake for 30-35 minutes till bacon is crispy. Your house will smell amazing and your stomach will be rumbling.

5) Let bacon cool and enjoy.


Candied Bacon Delight Sweet Notes


Remove the bacon from the wire rack soon after you take it out of the oven, so the bacon does not stick to the rack
Chop up bacon in small pieces if your adding to a cake filling or using it as a topping
