5 Recipes To Welcome Back The Twinkie

Hey eBayer's selling boxes of Twinkies for $60 and up - the jig is up! That's right, your Twinkies, selling for $6 a pop is no longer going to fly as today is the day that Twinkies are officially back on the market - and with a new and improved recipe that improves its shelf life from 26 days to 45 days (is that good or bad?). And those paying $60 and up for a box of Twinkies obviously love them (and maybe love is not a strong enough word in this situation), but there are others that fall into a different camp... the Twinkie haters. But whatever your feelings are on the matter, there's no denying that Twinkies are an American icon that even have their own cookbook (yes, you heard us right). And after being gone for the past eight months or so because of Hostess filing for bankruptcy, a piece of American history and culture is officially getting its second life today, and as such we had to honor the Twinkie.
So for the lovers and the open-minded haters, we put together A Twinkie Infographic that you can find here, as well as 5 Recipes that we found around the web to welcome back the American icon known as the Twinkie (haters, proceed with caution).

Tiramisu is a dessert that, when done right, has amazing texture and flavor. Lady fingers, drenched in coffee, layered with a mascarpone cream, and finished with cocoa powder is what gives it its distinct flavor. When we saw this take on Tiramisu using Twinkies, we had to include it here for those Twinkie & Tiramisu lovers. Twinkies serve as a simple substitution for Ladyfingers.
