Jack Daniel's Whiskey Chocolate Cupcakes

Cupcakes are a go-to dessert for any Sweet Society Dessert Experience. The flavors are endless, they are easy to bake, and most guests don't have a problem ensuring you don't have any leftovers (that's a good thing, right?). Chocolate and whiskey were the main focus in the Jack Daniel's Whiskey Dessert Experience, if you couldn't tell :)

We baked up our favorite chocolate cake recipe, made them into cupcakes, brushed them with some Jack Daniel's Whiskey simple syrup, and then topped them with some marshmallow frosting. We didn't stop there as we then gently toasted them with our culinary torch to give them a nice toasted marshmallow flavor. YUM.

Tips
For The Jack Daniel's Whiskey Chocolate Cupcakes
Greasing/buttering the rim of your cupcake pan helps to keep a rising cupcake from sticking to the pan when they are cooling. This also helps to reduce the stress of a frustrated cupcake baker ;)
In order to bake all of your cupcakes to the same size, we suggest weighing out your batter with a scale. You can also use a scoop to get consistent amounts in each cupcake liner. Bake a test cupcake before baking the first batch as different recipes have different rise levels
If you don't own a culinary torch, and don't plan on purchasing one, set your frosted cupcakes on a cookie sheet and place them under the broiler in the oven. Make sure to watch your cupcakes carefully as the broiler can get very hot and start to toast quickly. Have your oven mitt ready!
Presentation
Ideas For The Jack Daniel's Whiskey Chocolate Cupcakes
We presented our cupcakes on a 10-inch white square plate from Crate & Barrel. Also check out another one of our favorites that we've used from Sur La Table - you can choose from many different sizes. We especially love to use these plates in our Experiences as the clean and simple lines tend to complement any dessert table
Although we used brown cupcake liners, we also think gold liners would look great in the Jack Daniel's Whiskey Experience
A simple printable dessert label can go a long way to completing the presentation. We offer free printable dessert labels, along with the rest of the Jack Daniel's Whiskey Experience Printables, that you can download here. We recommend using cover weight paper which you can find at Paper-Source. We usually use pure white, but feel free to choose a color that works for you
