I Thee Wed Cupcakes

Cupcakes are such a delectable treat. You can frost them, fill them, or even leave them plain... no matter what they'll be one of the first desserts to disappear from the table. For the I Thee Wed Cupcakes we filled and topped them with lemon curd using Martha Stewart's Meyer Lemon cupcake recipe, whipping up some fresh lemon curd of our own. Not everyone is a fan of lemon flavored desserts but this citrus treat must be tried. The sweet tang of the lemon curd is balanced so well by the vanilla cake. These lemon curd filled and topped cupcakes, with a touch of powdered sugar, adds class and color to the Experience. And with a sugared lilac flower on top, the treat is complete.

Tips
For The I Thee Wed Cupcakes
If you want to sugar your flower petals, it’s always good practice to research which flowers are edible. Since lilacs are, we knew they would be the perfect accent color we were looking for to go with our yellow and purple hearts theme. Presentation
Ideas For The I Thee Wed Cupcakes
We presented our I Thee Wed Cupcakes on a 15 x 7-1/4 inch rectangular white plate from Sur La Table. We especially love to use these plates in our Experiences as the clean and simple lines tend to complement any dessert table. We recommend getting the set of 3 if you tend to host parties often
A simple printable dessert label can go a long way to completing the presentation. We offer free printable dessert labels, along with the rest of the Hearts Experience Printables, that you can download here. We recommend using cover weight paper which you can find at Paper-Source. We usually use pure white, but feel free to choose a color that works for you
